So lets look at this guy.
He never worked out a day in his life, he drank, he smoked, had no video analysis, used a 36 inch 56 ounce bat, and still hit balls over 600 feet during an era where the ball was labeled dead. And no one can prove that people did not throw just as hard as today.
So what do you see in his swing. Or what do you not see. Foot down early, Short compact to the ball, squashing the bug, letting it travel, negative movement, and the list can go one.
So how did he do it. Simple, he figured it out. The problem with today is that we think to much and screwed it up.
Want to hit the ball hard. Study this man and no one else and if you have to study someone else. Study the sluggers of this era because they figured it out with no help needed.
