Many people believe that playing games make you better. This is the farthest from the truth.
Here something to think about.

In the 2016 World Series there was seven nine inning games played. For a total of 63 innings. The Indians saw 245 batters while the Cubs 232. Out of all of those batters and innings Jason Kipnis got to step in the box the most with 31 Plate Appearances and received 9 hits with them and Javier Baez got to come in contact with the ball 34 times with 16 attempts to make a play.

On the flip side Brandon Guyer played 19 inning's and came in contact with the ball twice and Albert Almora Jr only got to see the batters box once with no hit.
Did this get them better?

An Average MLB hitter spends 18 hours a week in the cage. Not the field.

Know the Why
